Hello. My sporadic apology for lack of presence is here again. I'm sorry. I never have time these days to come on here to do an update. But I do log in and read your entries when I have time, I promise. Give it a year and a half when 've finished my course and i'll be unemployed and live on here.... until then...
All's well in Oxford. School's going well. We're doing a restoration play right now, we do start performance on wednesday (scuse me while i go throw up) It was only cast 2 weeks ago so we're all a little delicate about the situation! lol I've got a great part so i'm very happy. After my last entry she actually changed my part.... weird... so turns out hard work does pay off??? Restoration is great fun too- it's all about debauchery and sex... my two favourite things!!! ;)
A recent picture of me, just so you don't miss me too much ;)
and here's what's on my mind at the moment. I really want a pair of these. Do you remember them? I went through at least two pairs.... they were soooo motherf***in' cool!
I landed back in the country this morning at about 9:00am UK time. I am severely jet lagged. I had to do an 8 hour flight from Saint Martin (in the Caribbean) to France, and then after absolute hell in Paris airport finally cut it on to an hour flight back to heathrow. Saint Martin was beautiful! The beaches were to die for, the scuba diving was amazing, the sun was beaming, the cocktails were moreish!! haha and the food was so diverse and amazing!
The highlights were of course the diving, wonderful sights (barracuda, big eye, lots of colourful fish, groupers, octopus, turtles, morays and more) Para-sailing was fun, and my boyfriend and I won a jeep for one week which was ace! We got to go exploring, away from the evil prying eyes of my parents! haha! We even did an island hop over to a little (but steep) island called SABA. The diving there was wonderful and we stayed in a beautiful hut right up the very top of the island in a place called el momo run by a lovely couple. If you're ever in the Caribbean swing by Saba, the diving is great, and there's so much to see!!! Our room was beautiful. This is the view.
and inside our cottage looked like this.
The only problem was the noise! wow!! Tree frogs and crickets make a hell of a racket when you have no windows. and a lizard fell on my during the night which caused a bit of a trauma. We thought it was dead, but it was just stunned. Also I got so sick and tired of everyone thinking i was about 15!!! Sheeeesh. But all's well that ends well!
Anyway i'm absolutely jack hammered. So I'm gonna try and catch some Z's. Hope you're all well and peruse my holiday snaps
Had a lovely birthday today! I got lots of CD's... (Barefoot, Beta Band, Bonobo, Angelfish and Goodbye Mr.McKenzie) some DVD's (The audrey Hepburn collection, Anchorman, Elizabeth town) a fossil/granite pot, a corset, a beautiful dress, a very generous cheque and a trip to alton towers next month!! This evening my boyfriend and I went to the The Curzon cinema in Soho, London to see The Notorious Bettie Page. It was really good and i had a lovely evening. I'm going to the Caribbean for two weeks in the wee hours of sunday morning and i'll try and take lots of pictures!
Hey guys. I seem to have been fluffing around the past few days, not doing too much. I have big intentions on getting a holiday job... ... but i'm not making any effort at the moment. I neeeeed to purchase a corset before next term. We need a corset for the 2nd year productions. I'm thinking of getting a Snobz corset (this one)
If anyone has any opinions on either of these makes i'd be very pleased to get some feedback before I purchase one... baring in mind this is for performance, not everyday where...
Here's a sketch i did... good thing about being home for summer is i get lots of time to sketch and paint. May do an exhibition in November if i can get some work done before i go back to Oxford in September.
I didn't sleep Wednesday night. I had a fever and a temp of 105f. I called NHS direct and went to the Dr. who gave me anti biotics for a kidney infection. I did the play on Thursday and Friday night in a lot of pain with a temperature and a kidney infection . On Sunday the pain was worse and i'd finished my meds so i came home to my folks. They took me to a drop in clinic, who sent me to a Dr, who sent me to hospital to get blood tests who kept me in over night. I stayed in hospital on a drip and intra-venal antibiotics til tonight. I am tired, but the pain is gone. It's all a little crazy and i'll have to take my assessments next year but i'm fit again which is what counts. ;)
It's that time again where little Kate logs on and says something to the effect of "I'm sorry i've been such a stranger. I still don't have the internet at home and i'm so busy what with school and all..."
Okay here is the update regardless. Kate's life is a little whirlwind of excitement right now!!
* We've been working on the play now for a few weeks. In Act 1 I have a small roll as a daughter of a wealthy family. In Act two we see my main character. Mrs. Freda Brigstock. A married working class woman who is hysterical as she fears her reputation may be at stake due to her husband kissing another woman at work. Excellent scene. In Act three we have a model show. I am one of the models, first adorned in a dress and secondly adorned in (next to nothing) black undies and stockings. I'm the only model that would do it! So yes- the play is going well, and we'll be performing in weeks (little scream)
*It's nearly the end of term and I have lots of assessments coming up! I have to do a poem. Mine is 'For Desire' by Kim Addonizio. I have to do a movement piece, a Shakespeare and a modern monologue; I have a stage combat assessment, and my play to name but a few! It's a lot of hard work, and I’m in need of summer break, but I’m enjoying it and giving it my all.
*After school finishes I’m going camping with some mates in my year, and then in September I’m heading to the Caribbean with my folks. Yes I’ve reached the age where a free holiday is appealing again!! ;)
*I've got somewhere to live next year! wooooooooooohoooooooo! I'm living near the station in Oxford with my mate Sarah, in a house share with two lovely chicks we met through relentless advertising. It's a nice house in a convenient place and they have a pet doggie! :)
*My boyf's band is going well. They played a peace festival yesterday which was a lot of fun!
*I'm trying to sell my old flute if you know anyone who might be interested???
*I'm hoping to do some modelling over the summer so do contact me if you've got any ideas.
*It's just been everyone I knows birthday and I’m back in dept! I got my boyfriend a day sphereing!!!
You get strapped to the inside of a giant ball and thrown down hills! How hot?! So that's the basic 411. I hope you are all incredibly well. Peace and love Kate xxxxx
Turns out my intestines are climbing up my body and trying to strangle my brain! I'm trying to find a house for my dear friend Sarah and myself for next year! We're looking for 2 rooms in a house next year in Oxford. But we want to be near the station and city centre, and not be living with crazies.... the search is on and it's a loooooooooooooong one! ughhhhh!
Easter and Passover have left me full and tired! I went on a long walk in Burnham Beeches with my folks yesterday and got lost in the rain! Was fun! I love it when you try and make plans and the world laughs at you! ;) Usually makes thing much more exciting!
So I didn't get any of the shoes I had planned, but i've ordered these! Oooooooh
PS: If anyone know people in oxford looking for housemates get in touch!
We almost called you Brutus the Uterus and attached this picture:
But we figured you wouldn't understand, and rightly so. We don't understand either. So you are Genghis Khunt: master of man, bringer of pain--riding your way to conquest after conquest.
Your sexual avarice is legendary. You've already had an unusually high amount of experience, and, still you look for more. You intimidate many. You make no apologies.
Your exact opposite: The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer
Personality-wise, you're carefree and relatively easy-going. You don't plan things out ahead of time; you tend to live in the moment. Of course, this can cause some damage when the moment happens to include a screaming orgasm with his younger brother. Hence the 'brutal' tag we've given you.
But you know what, take five seconds to lock the doors, and you'll be fine. There's nothing wrong with a little sex, or a whole lot.

After terribly long consideration i have come to the un-biast opinion that i do in fact need another pair of shoes. After all, my feet are terribly dainty and haven't been treated with enough respect over the years. They have had glass, rusty nails galore in them, due to my careless, inconsiderate, on-going hippie-style, bare foot walking... So yes. I am going to have one of these two beauties by the end of the week! And if i don't- well then... call me Nigel! ;)
Today is a mini greek tragedy! And the moral before we begin is never do favours for people.
I awoke from a nightmare... ugh- feeling this will be a bad day. I go to the bathroom, brush my teeth ask my dad if my sister is home. He grunts at me "get me some toilet paper". I ask if he'd like the whole lot as there's not much left. "No. Just tear me a wad." I ask if he can answer my question. "What?" he shouts. I say forget it and walk off with him continuing to tell me to stop mumbling and repeat myself. I get down stairs and my sister greats me with a squeamish look on her face.
"You know i borrowed your shoes last night. I'm really sorry but i've recked them." Don't lose it Kate. Hold it together, just a pair of shoes... breath.... it's okay.. back on track. I say to my mum i'll go pick up something she's order in to a store in town for her. I jump in the car and am stuck at a light whilst a sikh procession goes past for half an hour with a flashing light telling me my petrol tank is fucking empty! Aaaaargh! I finally get out of the thing and get some petrol. Encounter a nice driver who lets me pull out in front of him and go in to town. I go in to the store and have to wait 3/4 of an hour to collect the iron cause there's a major shortage of intellegent staff and a major excess of customers. Fine. I window shop for a bit, and town is packed with little skinny teenage girls wondering around with numbers stuck to them... i walk round the corner.
competition to become the next big model Fuck. I walk through the crowd but i'm spotted. Some smiley young woman approaches me. "Would you like to enter? It's not too late." "No. Thanks" "You really should you know. Here take a look at this form. We can have you on the catwalk in a couple of minutes.". "No thanks. I've really no interest."
This continues for ten minutes or so til i do a runner. Get a dab of lunch and drive home. Bonus laugh- the damn procession vans pull out in front of me again on the way and i think i'm going to be stuck for another half hour. But sure enough i make it home, and my heart rate is returning to normal ;)
It's been a while... as per usual. Still not hooked up at my house in Oxford. This is nice though, my first weekend in three weeks! :) Bliss! As normal drama school is consuming my life. This term we've been doing object exercises with Steve, Laban and text, lots of phonetics (which i love to pieces- turns out i'm a geek at heart) we're doing emotional recall now which is pretty intense, but all is great. Love is in the air and i'm very happy.... not saying i couldn't do with a holiday mind you ;)
Hope you're all well and the year is treating you kindly. Not long till spring. Keep your eyes peeled for that first daisy!
Today is the last day of this wonderous year! And in to hours my boyfriend and I will be starting a long drive to Normandy in France where we hope to join my sister and her boyfriend to celebrate New Years in Stle! Happy New Year Everyone! I hope that some wishes come true for you next year and some dreams are realised!
Okay, let's sart here and see how far back I can remember. Currently I am sitting in my lovely boyfriends bedroom (i think he's having nightmares.) Last night we went to see the new Cameron Crowe flick Elizabeth Town It was wondeful! So raw and true and beautiful! I loved it! Orlando Bloom i very good in it too. Friday night we had a fire work display here and i was very sick.. maybe too much alcohol- not sure... didn't feel that drunk.
School is going well. I have to perform a song abot myself to the school in a month which is a little intimidating (understatement, big nderstatement) I'm loving voice and movement work. Acting classes rock, eople are still gems, halloween was a great night out. I dressed up as an angel who'd been beaten up!
Saw my family last weekend which was such a saviour! Miss my papa and sister tonnes and tonnes! Still hoping to go away at Christmas but we'll see.
Hope you're all very well indeed. Peace love and Empathy Kate xxx
Hey guys and gals. Sorry i've been such a sranger! I've still not got the internet up and running at my base in Oxford but i'll be going home next weekend to see the friends and family in bucks so i'll do an update while i'm there. I'm loving Oxford, loving acting scool, loving my man and loving life. Hope you're all well and life is beautiful!
I have had the best two days ever! Tom and I slept in late on Saturday and went to London to buy him a Guitar. He ended up buying a beautiful Takamine semi-acoustic in Tottenham Court, and then we went and got some dinner and went to Maxwells in Covent Gardens for some cocktails. We crashed at his brothers house in London and headed down to Richmond Park around mid day with the housemates. It was so beautiful to see all the glorious trees and deer... but we couldn't stay long... We headed back to mind to feed the kittens and then we did a Tescos shop for my house (aka- folders, boxes, lampshades, food, toiletries etc) Oh my god! Was so expensive I should not be allowed to shop! We spent so much money on cheese and bread!!! I got everything together and we headed up to oxford to move me in to my house!!! Eeeee! I can't wait to post pictures it's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful! My room looks amazing! Arghhh! And then this morning Tom had to go to the Dr's and and and my red satin sheets arrived! I am so hot! :p I'm loving it! So knackered though. After we finished moving in last night Tom wanted to go back to his quickly to show his folks the geeetar. Stayed there til easily gone midnight and then came back and watched a movie before sleeping so I'm reckoning a good nights sleep should happen soon? :)
I really want to get a new car. Basically I drive a very sweet Ford KA, but my grandad is planning on getting me a car for my 22nd Birthday. Regardless of when the purchase happens i have fallen for the Nissan Figaro. Should i put some money to with my grandad and get it???
